How this live map works
Every dot on this map is a real train running on Indian Railways right now. Indian trains do not broadcast GPS publicly — so the map does what railway controllers do: it takes each train's last reported crossing and delay, and slides the marker along the timetable line between the two stations. When the railway reports the next crossing, the marker snaps forward.
Colours carry the delay: green means on time, amber a few minutes late, and red 15+ minutes behind schedule. Larger, brighter dots are fast trains (Rajdhani, Vande Bharat, Shatabdi class) on high-speed segments.
Tap a dot — or search a train number above — and a live status card opens with the delay, route progress, and a one-tap jump to the full live tracking page with every halt, platform and actual timings. The map refreshes itself every 60 seconds.

How accurate are the train positions on the map?
India's trains do not broadcast GPS publicly, so every live train map — including this one — computes positions from the railway's own live running reports: the last station a train crossed, its delay, and the timetable. Markers are therefore accurate to the stretch between two stations and update as new reports arrive (about once a minute).
Is the live train map free?
